Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid SBEC Educational Aide certificate
- Associate's Degree or 48 or more college hours or NCLB ParaEducator Certification issued by San Jacinto College or other local educational entity
Job Description:
- Assist summer school administrators and teachers as required. Work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher
Other Information:
- Bayshore Elementary - June 3 - June 27 (Monday-Friday)
- Session Hours: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Work Day/Prep: June 2
- Work Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Frequent walking
- Lifting: Frequent light lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (less than 15 pounds); occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling (up to 50 pounds)
- Environment: Work inside and outside, regular exposure to noise and the elements
- Mental Demands: Maintain control under stress
