Primary Purpose
Direct and manage overall campus operations, including the Academy of Viola DeWalt High School and the district's Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP). Responsible for leadership of the campus instructional programs, ensuring high standards of instruction and student achievement, compliance with district policies, application of instructional programs, providing a safe learning environment and effective operation of all campus activities.
Serve as instructional leader, communicator of high expectations to students, staff and parents for student achievement, positive student behavior and collegial school climate.
Job Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas principal certification
- AEL or ILD/ILT certification
- Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser or willing to obtain

Occasional district-wide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours.
