Develop, maintain, and monitor all district local area networks (LAN), wireless local area networks (WLAN), and wide area networks (WAN). Responsible for installation, testing, and oversight of all network hardware, personal computers, software, and related equipment. Responsible for all cybersecurity operations.

Qualifications
Education/Certification (Preferred):
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or management information systems, or equivalent experience in system administration
- Microsoft MTA, MSCA, MSCE, MCSD or equivalent
- Cisco CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent
- CompTIA A , Network , Security or equivalent
- Knowledge of LAN, LWAN, and WAN network design and installation
- Knowledge of network hardware and software applications including network servers, printers, and other equipment
- Knowledge of Best Practices in the field of System Administration and cybersecurity
- Ability to work with multiple operating systems and network protocols
- Ability to analyze and resolve computer network problems
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of enterprise backup solutions, preferably Commvault
- Network, storage and server virtualization
- Four years of experience working with computer hardware, software applications, and databases in a multi-user environment.
Network, Infrastructure and Technical Support:
- Setup, install and configure server hardware and operating systems in a multi-user environment.
- Observe and report server performance deficiencies, hardware and OS, coordinate equipment repairs and suggest alternate hardware devices.
- Maintain by testing and distributing current security patches and software updates on all server operating systems.
- Maintain configure and secure all district-level storage including SAN and NAS systems
- Provide backup services for all centrally located servers including all SAN and NAS systems.
- Maintain configure and support the district web filter.
- Provide support for the maintenance and operation of the emergency generator
- Support (installation/configuration) of all administrative applications:
- Configure and maintain Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol services, and Domain Name Systems.
- Maintain and implement best practices in the discipline of System Administration; stay current with hardware and operating system changes and technologies as they evolve.
- Design feasible projects and timelines for implementing innovations.
- Comply with the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule and the local board policy in the data management and electronic communications area.
- Compile, maintain and file all reports, records and other documents as required.
- Assist with planning and conducting needs assessment(s) for growth and improvement of district applications and database services.
- Comply with all regulations regarding confidentiality of student, employee, and other district data.
- Develop professional skills appropriate to job assignment.
- Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical and responsible and serve as a role model for all district staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Tools/Equipment Used: Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations; standard office equipment including personal computers and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; regular kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting, standing
- Motion: Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching; may climb ladders
- Lifting: Regular moderate lifting and carrying (up to 45 pounds); occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over)
- Physical Demands/Environment: Work is performed in an office environment; occasional districtwide travel; exposure to noise; frequent irregular hours, including on-call and after-hours work; may be required to be on-call 24 hours a day at times
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; emotional control under stress
