Here, you’ll work day shifts only (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)—no nights, no overnights! Essential Functions
- Performs and coordinates services essential to health care at home including laundry and ironing, changing/laundering bed linens, light housekeeping and other services as offered.
- Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents. Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs and to develop friendships with other residents.
- Administers and coordinates the passing of medications under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor (in accordance with state regulations and facility policy).
- Observes and documents the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting all changes to the Supervisor. Regularly reviews each resident's service plan.
- Coordinates and participates in the prompt and courteous response to resident requests for assistance, including resident call systems, pendants and other devices.
- Promotes a safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices, following facility guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the Supervisor.
- Assist and coordinates in the preparation and transportation of residents for appointments and social programs.
- Assist and coordinates with moving and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
- Assist and coordinates with helping residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
- Assists residents to eat or drink as needed.
- Routinely checks on each resident at shift change and as directed at other times to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes and advise Supervisor accordingly.
- Coordinate and monitor special resident services offered by the facility.
- Attend and participate in in-services as required by federal, state and La Posada requirements.
- Maintain current qualifications as a certified caregiver including fingerprint clearance, annual TB clearance, CPR and 1st aid certification.
- Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
- Follows established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.

Skills and Abilities
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
- Certification as a Caregiver at the Personal, Supervisory and Directed level.
- Experience: 6 months - 1 year experience as a certified caregiver. Experience as a medication technician a plus.
- Certifications & Licenses: Current CPR and First Aid cards, Fingerprint clearance card, current TB test.
- Certified Caregiver License
- Other Requirements: Able to communicate in English, orally and in writing
