Finance Director - Advancement Track
La Puente Home, Inc., a nonprofit organization in Colorado's San Luis Valley, is hiring a Finance Director to support financial operations, manage payroll and benefits, assist with budgeting and audits, and ensure compliance. This Advancement Track position is designed to prepare the candidate to assume the Chief Financial Officer role. The ideal candidate is a motivated, values-driven professional with experience in accounting, QuickBooks, and HR coordination.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and reports for leadership and board members.
- Manage payroll, employee benefits, and HR compliance activities.
- Support budget development for multiple entities and oversee inter-company accounts.
- Cross-train in accounts payable, grant management, and other finance functions.
- Collaborate on audits, special projects, and financial reporting for grants.
- Assist the CFO with departmental supervision and operational oversight.
Job Requirements
- Degree from an accredited college/university or a Bookkeeping Certificate.
- 4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, spreadsheets, and financial management software.
- Strong organizational, mentoring, and teamwork skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
