Laundry Attendant

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines and dryers to launder hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items according to established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Handle dry cleaning processes as needed, following proper protocols for different fabric types.
• Inspect items for stains or damage before washing and report any issues to management.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
• Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina; must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as necessary.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
