Job Overview
Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisors oversee the work of housekeeping staff and ensure that the hotel is kept clean.
Essential Duties:
- Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
Specific requirements of the role:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, lobby, and all public areas after being cleaned to ensure quality standards.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office.
- Run room reports and update statuses appropriately.
- Prepare boards, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Management.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written English. Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $17.75 per hour
