HOUSEMAN
- Summary of the main function/purpose of the position:
To maintain a positive and helpful attitude to Management and fellow employees. In addition, the Houseman position will encounter guests and Owners and will need to have positive guest interactions. The Houseman Associates play an important role for our home-away-from-home experience for each of our guests every day.

- Key Principal duties/responsibilities (5-8):
- Acknowledges and greets guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.
- Communicates and informs “System Laundry Management” for the pick-up of dirty linens and drop off clean linens.
- Reviews daily inventory of supplies needed to complete the assignments for the day.
- Performs a damaged linen report each month.
- Comply with all resort safety guidelines.
- Maintains clean and organized storage rooms of all housekeeping departments.
- When house wares are delivered, inventory is verified against the PO Form and neatly stacked in the storage room.
- Deliver any item request to the appropriate unit.
- Check all golf cart batteries each month to ensure proper water levels are maintained.
- Wash rags when necessary.
- Perform linen inventory counts quarterly.
- Assures house wares are kept up to par level in all units
- Report and give suggested counts of house wares and amenities that need to be ordered.
- Responsible for providing the necessary keys for all newly hired housemen.
- Return any items that were sent out to be cleaned to the appropriate unit.
Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals:
- Projects as needed.

Safety: Must maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting any safety issues to management, and comply with the Company safety guidelines and OSHA Requirements
Customer Service: Must deliver a superior level of service with a goal of exceeding owners and guest expectations.

- Supervisory Responsibility:
To ensure all Junior housemen are trained appropriately.
Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Specialized or technical educational requirements:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions when furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Certification or licensing requirements:
- OSHA Training
Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position.
- Washing machine and the utilization and responsibility involved in the operation of driving the golf carts.
Physical demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time. The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- This position demands good physical and mental health. The houseman will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and work a flexible schedule, must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds.
