Job Description:
La Quinta Inn & Suites Fort Collins is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our team. This leadership role is integral to ensuring the daily operations of the hotel run smoothly, while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the team, enhance operations, and ensure profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the hotel to ensure the highest level of guest service.
- Lead and supervise staff members, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and provide excellent service.
- Monitor and manage hotel budgets, inventory, and financial goals.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the General Manager in planning and implementing hotel marketing and sales strategies.
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, and development of hotel staff.
- Ensure hotel cleanliness and maintenance standards are met at all times.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure the property’s adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Prepare reports related to operational performance and ensure smooth communication between departments.
- Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss guest satisfaction, performance, and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Knowledge of hotel management software (e.g., Opera, RMS) preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
