Hotel Housekeeping Attendant

Perform tasks to maintain the cleanliness of the hotel while providing prompt and courteous service to guests as needed. To be part of a team and contribute positively to the overall guest experience. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Bonuses are available based on certain criteria.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Stripping beds and removing used terry and linen from the units
• Removal of trash from the units
• Making beds per La Quinta standards
• Dusting and sanitizing all surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
• Mopping floors in rooms
• Cleaning balconies and windows
• Maintaining a clean and organized cleaning cart
• Maintaining clean and organized housekeeping closets
• Cleaning rooms on time and per La Quinta cleaning cycle standards
• Clean public areas and facilities as needed
• Perform other tasks as requested by management

Shifts:

• Daytime: Starts between 9 AM and 10 AM and ends between 4 PM and 5 PM depending on the time of year and hotel occupancy.
• Nighttime: Starts between 4PM and 6 PM and ends between 10 PM and 11 PM depending on the time of year and hotel occupancy.

Availability and Work Requirements:

• Must be available to work holidays and weekends, especially Sundays.
• Physical requirements include extended periods of standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, and kneeling to perform all cleaning tasks.
• Have reliable form of transportation (public or private)
• Consistently show up when scheduled and on time.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals
