What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Housekeeping Attendant position at La Quinta Inns & Suites?
Perform tasks to maintain the cleanliness of the hotel while providing prompt and courteous service to guests as needed. To be part of a team and contribute positively to the overall guest experience. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Bonuses are available based on certain criteria.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Stripping beds and removing used terry and linen from the units
- Removal of trash from the units
- Making beds per La Quinta standards
- Dusting and sanitizing all surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
- Mopping floors in rooms
- Cleaning balconies and windows
- Maintaining a clean and organized cleaning cart
- Maintaining clean and organized housekeeping closets
- Cleaning rooms on time and per La Quinta cleaning cycle standards
- Clean public areas and facilities as needed
- Perform other tasks as requested by management
Shifts:
- Daytime: Starts between 9 AM and 10 AM and ends between 4 PM and 5 PM depending on the time of year and hotel occupancy.
- Nighttime: Starts between 4PM and 6 PM and ends between 10 PM and 11 PM depending on the time of year and hotel occupancy.
Availability and Work Requirements:
- Must be available to work holidays and weekends, especially Sundays.
- Physical requirements include extended periods of standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, and kneeling to perform all cleaning tasks.
- Have reliable form of transportation (public or private)
- Consistently show up when scheduled and on time.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals
