Job Overview:
We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our hotel team. This essential overnight position handles financial audits and guest services, assists with laundry, prepares breakfast items for the morning shift, and maintains the cleanliness of common areas. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, multitask effectively, and smoothly transition between night and day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nightly financial audits to balance daily revenues and reconcile guest accounts.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs, handle reservations, and assist with any late-night guest inquiries.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels to support housekeeping needs.
- Prepare breakfast items for the morning shift, ensuring everything is set up for a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, and public areas, including vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
- Monitor hotel safety and security during overnight hours, conducting regular property checks.
- Handle and distribute nightly reports to management, summarizing the hotel’s financial and operational activities.
- Managed phone systems and efficiently handled incoming calls, including late-night reservation requests.
- Ensure proper posting of charges, payments, and adjustments in the property management system (PMS).
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel front desk or night audit roles preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle varied duties during the night shift.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Synxis PMS).
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially during quiet hours.
- Physical ability to lift to 25 lbs and perform light cleaning tasks as needed.
- Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
