Weekend laundry attendant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our services in a hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Launder and dry clean various items including linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items while adhering to proper cleaning protocols.
• Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces.
• Ensure that all laundry is completed in a timely manner to meet operational needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with laundering techniques including dry cleaning processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
