La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring a full-time Director of Development & Engagement for our Fund Development department in Chicago, IL.

Job Summary:
The Director of Development & Engagement is responsible for planning and executing fundraising strategies and hospital-related events that will maximize revenue, growth and awareness of La Rabida.
Essential Director of Development & Engagement Functions:
- Develop and manage all internal and external hospital events. This includes coordinating all logistics, managing timelines, overseeing committees, auction procurement, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Develop corporate support plans. Generate targeted, effective corporate support prospects and proposals. Manage relationships with corporate supporters.
- Work with internal and external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Manage the Development & Engagement Coordinator position to support the hospital’s internal and external events and programs.
- Develop and oversee corporate engagement programs, initiatives and resources that advance La Rabida’s mission and goals.
- Work with communications and design team to develop event collateral and communications strategy.
- Lead the Corporate Advisory Board to foster engagement and growth.
- Ensure event production meets the highest possible quality standards and results in optimum experience for attendees and donors.
- Assess and create strategies for ongoing growth and viability.
- Education: Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
- Related Work Experience: 7-10 years of special event and corporate development experience at a fundraising organization.
- Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of Raisers Edge is helpful.
