Position / Specialty : Pediatric Stepdown RN
Inpatient Unit is very unique - 1 unit, 39 beds, all specialties on this unit, 50-60% of patients have some sort of technology dependence - ages 2 weeks to 18 yrs old.

Ratios : 1 : 3-4
Years of experience REQ : 2 years
First-timers accepted : N
Weekend REQ : Y – every other weekend required
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Y
Open to accommodating block schedule? N
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours for 3-12 hour shifts, 48 hours for 4-12 hour shifts, 40 hours for shifts less than 12 hours (8-hour and 10-hour shifts)
Special Requirements : Vents, trach, and G tube experience required.

IL RN LICENSE REQUIRED IN HAND FOR SUBMISSION
Valid IL license at time of submission
2 years of experience required
BCLS
PALS
Vents, trach, and G tube experience required
1 : 4 ratio experience required
Meditech experience required

Additional Details
RTO must be approved and included in the contract prior to the start date - No RTO may be added after the contract has started.
We are an acute care unit that cares for patients with chronic illness. Our children have tracheostomies with chronic ventilators. We do not have drips or surgical patients, transitional patients.
