Job Summary:
The Medical Re-Entry Program Director will oversee the design, development, and implementation of services tailored to support individuals re-entering the community after incarceration. This role involves close collaboration with the Behavioral Health Administrator, coordinating with various stakeholders, managing program staff, and ensuring that the program meets its goals in providing comprehensive support to participants. The Program Director will also be responsible for evaluating program effectiveness and making data-driven improvements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Designs and develops re-entry programs that address the specific needs of participants. Collaborates with the Behavioral Health Administrator to implement program strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Supervises, provides leadership to program staff, including hiring, education, training, and performance evaluations. Coordinates with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate service delivery. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Monitors program outcomes and metrics and prepares regular reports for the Behavioral Health Administrator. Advocates for program participants and work to remove barriers to successful re-entry. Stays up to date with best practices and emerging trends in re-entry programs/services. Conducts assessments of individuals to determine their needs and develop individualized re-entry plans. Manages program budget and resources effectively.
Education and/or Experience:
-Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
-Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field, including supervisory or management roles.
-Peer Specialist certification strongly preferred.
Language Skills:
English required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
