Accountant
We are seeking a self-driven and detail-oriented Accountant for our Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), to include assisting with various accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background, with CPA certification being highly desirable. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and vendor reconciliation.
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment collection, and customer account reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for General Ledger, AR, AP, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and various other financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Assist with the preparation and analytics of financial reports related to Cash Flow, AR, AP, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and forecasts.
- Complete sales/use tax, property tax, and W/C reports.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Inventory and Manufacturing Costs Reports.
- Participate in the annual property and liability insurance renewal process.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Assist with audits and tax filings as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to AR, AP, assets, inventory or other.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Accounting AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and tax functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, D365, Oracle) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 2-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and tax functions.
· CPA certification is highly desired.
