Manufacturing Engineer I
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the sustainment and continuous improvement of the semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes of your assigned area(s). Typical duties will include daily systematic review of key input and output parameters to ensure equipment and process performance is in accordance with expected levels. Own and drive resolution when they are not. Utilize strong engagement with the operations workforce to enable an increase level of awareness in all aspects of manufacturing, e.g., Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilization of Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to ensure processes are in control and apply control rules to improve process stability
- Utilization of Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) systems to detect problems and improve response time and process stability
- Owns 24 x 7 continuity for troubleshooting and resolution of equipment and process-related issues
- Spending significant time, i.e., ≥50%, on the manufacturing floor to monitor area performance, troubleshoot problems, engage, and mentor operations workforce (including off-shifts)
- Ensure timely disposition of hold material
- Provide clear and concise updates to management through verbal and written communication. (Morning operations meeting, weekly reports, CAB, CAPA, etc.)
- Participate in cross-functional breakout teams to quickly address quality or other related manufacturing issues. (e.g., defectively, thickness uniformity, film composition, etc.)
- Participate in continuous improvement projects that are aligned with mission and strategic vision of the site
- Maintain area specific documentation to ensure incorporation of best-known methods (BKMs)

Education:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science required
