Salary : $32.00 hr.

LA semiconductor is seeking highly motivated individual to join our Plant Operation team. As a Plant Operations Technician , you will be joining a team responsible for the operations and maintenance of all facilities equipment and instrumentation systems required to support the operation of a Semiconductor manufacturing process. The focus of work will include monitoring, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs of support / building equipment and systems. Technician responsibilities are at times physically demanding with varying working conditions, indoors, outdoors, and within clean room environment.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Perform daily activities to maintain equipment and systems
Operate and maintain systems such as HVAC, chemical distribution, and wastewater systems
Handle / transport bulk chemical containers and change at point of use equipment
Calibration of transmitters and / or sensors
Understand and follow equipment specific operation and written maintenance procedures
Proficient computer skills such as email, excel and word programs
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve problems efficiently to minimize downtime
Ensure compliance with safety, regulations, operating permits, and company policies
Train and certify to site specific safety training programs and maintain certifications such as (Respirator, Hazardous Materials Handling, OSHA required training, Forklift and Aerial lifts)

Required Skills & Abilities :

Proficient at identifying root cause of system failures.

Understand Control and SCADA systems.

Ability to troubleshoot / repair mechanical and electrical equipment

Monitor / Operate mechanical, control, & Life safety systems.

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks. Perform daily tasks without supervision.

Understand and follow safe work practices.

Certify knowledge of regulatory compliance.

Able to work independently or within a group

Ability to work within office software systems.

Mentor / train others on equipment repairs / maintenance.

Competence to create and edit procedures for maintenance / repair of equipment or systems

Work in a team environment

Willing to be trained to operate Fire Protection and Hazardous Gas Monitoring systems

Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment

Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs. repetitively.

Remain as shift flexible as possible as there exists the chance of being moved from the nights to the day shift (or vice versa), also must be able to work weekends as well as weekdays (we are a 24 / 7 facility).

Education Requirements :

Associate Degree, or Trade certifications in one of the following areas preferred- Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing / Pipe Fitter, Mechanical Program 4 years of related experience

6-8 years of Equivalent Experience in leu of degree in one of the following, Operating, Maintaining, Repair, or Installation of Industrial mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Chemicals, Hazardous gas, material handling systems, Advanced troubleshooting skills

Shifts :

Shift A - Day Shift Sunday -Tuesday; Every other Wednesday; 6 : 45am-7pm

Shift D - Wednesday-Friday; Every other Saturday 6 : 45pm-7am
