Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier / Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions efficiently, and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience. You will be the face of our store and will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner as they enter the store.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, ensuring accuracy in change and receipts.
- Answer customer inquiries and assist with product-related questions or concerns.
- Ensure shelves are stocked and displays are tidy, and assist with restocking as necessary.
- Provide information about current promotions, discounts, and store policies.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and store environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a cash register or POS system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Dependability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
