Nursing Home Admissions Concierge

Location: La Villa Grande Care Center
Job Type: Full-time

Wage: $24 to $27 per hr DOE

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and highly professional Nursing Home Admissions Concierge to oversee the admissions process at our community. As the first point of contact for potential residents and their families, you will provide a welcoming and informative experience while ensuring a smooth transition into our care. This role requires a concierge-level approach to customer service, focusing on personalized attention, proactive communication, and seamless admissions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Initial Contact & Assessment:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents and families, providing information on services, amenities, and costs.
  • Conduct initial consultations via phone, email, or in person to assess needs and eligibility.
  • Schedule and lead engaging community tours, tailoring each visit to the unique needs of the prospective resident.

 

Admissions Process Management:

  • Guide families through the admissions process with clear communication and compassionate support.
  • Collect, review, and verify all necessary documentation, including medical records, insurance details, and financials.
  • Coordinate with medical and care teams to assess residents’ needs and determine the appropriate level of care.
  • Coordinate with hospitals and discharge planners to facilitate a smooth transition from hospital to community.
  • Provide transparent explanations of policies, payment options, and contractual terms.

 

Marketing & Outreach:

  • Work under the direction of the Family Advisor to support outreach and referral development efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts to promote the community and generate new leads.
  • Maintain a database of prospective residents and actively follow up on inquiries to increase admissions.

 

Concierge-Level Customer Service:

  • Offer a warm, empathetic, and personalized approach to each family, addressing concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and advocate, ensuring prospective residents and families feel confident and supported.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to provide a seamless and welcoming move-in experience.

 

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of all admissions inquiries and applications.
  • Manage and update the community’s waiting list.
  • Prepare admission paperwork and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid driver's license required for travel to hospitals, referral partners, and community events.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple admissions at once.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and admissions procedures in a nursing home setting.
  • Sales and marketing experience preferred, with the ability to effectively present the community’s services and benefits.
  • Proficiency in computer systems for data entry and record-keeping.
  • A compassionate, concierge-like approach to guiding residents and families through the transition process.
