The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Manager, Ticket Operations :

The Manager of Ticket Operations will manage the day-to-day development, communication, and serve as the intermediary between LA28 functional areas and the Ticket Service Provider. In addition, this role will be responsible for facilitating the development of the Games Time staffing plans and placement of Ticket Resolution areas.

The Ticketing department is responsible for developing a robust Ticket Sales, Marketing, and Ticket Operations strategy for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This encompasses maximizing revenue through sold-out and fully attended events, while ensuring accessible pricing and broad access to the General Public.

Reporting to the Head of Ticketing Strategy & Operations for LA28, the Manager of Ticket Operations will be responsible for the program management of the ticketing system, including coordination of the delivery of the B2B and administrative ticketing technology solutions, operational planning and Games time ticketing support.

In addition, this position will collaborate with key ticketing functional leaders to set department & cross functional meetings, as well as aggregate data from IOC, IPC, and partners.

Key Responsibilities :

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage requirements of the ticketing system, including tracking those requirements against delivered functionality
  • Coordinate with LA28 Tech counterparts to track and ensure delivery of non-functional requirements
  • Review and acceptance of delivered functionality and key project documents, including validation that functionality meets business needs
  • Manage project risks, decisions, action items
  • Manage testing plan, including UAT
  • Develop system expertise to support sales and service initiatives
  • Configure platforms / portals with relevant information
  • Onboard internal and external users of the ticketing system
  • Support the Head of Ticketing to manage the execution and delivery of the Ticket Services Partner (TSP) workstreams
  • Manage and report on ticketing technology and ticketing operations project plan
  • Manage and lead regular meetings between LA28 and Ticket Service Provider functional areas including the Client Ticket Portal, Public Portal, White-label website, and reporting
  • Record, track, and escalate program issues and risks
  • Accountable for liaising with key stakeholders internally and externally as required
  • Develop and implement ticketing policies that promote broad access to Olympic and Paralympic events, ensuring equitable pricing structures and outreach efforts to underserved communities.
  • Venue Management

  • Engage with all relevant stakeholders to ensure needed input, integration and buy-in with the ticketing system
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design seating manifests that consider accessibility needs, including accommodations for individuals with disabilities and diverse community groups.
  • Development of seating manifest driven by the LA28 Ticketing Quota
  • Work with Seating Bowl Working Group Analyst on overlay of venue holds / kills
  • Create technical, functional, and training documentation as needed
  • Document and manage communication plan
  • Ensure that meetings support project milestones
  • Manage project RACI
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • This role is primarily office-based, with an expectation of working on-site at the LA28 headquarters 4-5 days per week.
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May require standing or walking for extended periods during meetings, events, or venue visits.
  • Ability to travel as needed for ticketing-related planning sessions, partner meetings, or venue assessments.
  • Background & Qualifications :

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce Preferred)
  • Proven success growing revenue in ticketing
  • Familiarity with ticketing platform infrastructure
  • Professional sports background preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues
  • Previous experience managing people or working with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)
  • Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent work experience
  • The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 . The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
