What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Sales Representative position at LAAB Medical?
We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced 1099 sales representative in Omaha, NE.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling our products to healthcare professionals, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers. This role requires an understanding of the medical device industry, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
*Key Responsibilities*
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets in a specified territory.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders. Identify and target new business opportunities within the territory by visiting potential clients, attending trade shows, and engaging in networking activities.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, competitors, and the healthcare landscape. Be able to clearly articulate the features, benefits, and applications of the medical devices.
Product Demonstrations: Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients, providing technical expertise and addressing any concerns. Provide product training and support to healthcare professionals to ensure proper use of the medical devices
Account Management: Manage existing accounts and identify opportunities for growth within them. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory and company guidelines related to sales, promotions, and marketing within the medical device industry.
Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasting using CRM tools. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance.
Travel: Travel within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
*Qualifications*:
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
- Preferred 0-2 years of outside sales experience, business to business sales experience, any healthcare experience or background, or other health and fitness background.
- Ability to understand complex medical terminology and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools. Use of Microsoft programming including Excel, Teams, One drive, etc.
- Must posses a valid driver's license
*Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous experience in selling different types of medical devices.
- Previous experience in the operating room and/or wound care.
- Existing network of healthcare professionals within the territory.
