ABOUT THE ROLE
The Vice President of Orange County Regional Office (VP of OC) leads the Orange County office of AJSOCAL. The VP of OC is responsible for the growth and oversight of the OC office, including leading OC local fundraising, identifying and leading opportunities for program expansion, external relations, and community partnership. The VP of OC reports to the CEO and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), which holds collective responsibility for the strategic and operational direction of AJSOCAL. The VP of OC ensures the AJSOCAL Mission, Vision, and Strategy are implemented in the Orange County region and brings forth innovative ideas as to how OC capabilities and unique market needs can further enhance the same.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
50% Fundraising Development and External Relations
- Cultivate and strengthen relations with OC-based private donors, including individual, corporate and foundation donors, and support Development activities with broader AJSOCAL donor base, as needed.
- Lead fund development plan for OC office growth, focusing on multiple strategies for fundraising, including philanthropy, corporations, government contracts, individual donors, special events, online giving, etc.
- Oversee special events and meetings to raise awareness and funds for AJSOCAL’s OC site and services
- Relaunch OC Advisory Council with high net worth and influential local AAPI leaders to support fundraising
- Work closely with CEO and Development team to ensure fundraising strategies and goals are aligned and met
- Support ongoing Orange County fundraising, in coordination and collaboration with Leadership, Development, Finance, and program staff
- Serve as spokesperson for OC office and expert on OC AAPI community with media, funders, community partners, etc.
- Cultivate relationships with community partners and volunteers including pro bono attorneys, interns, and other relationships to support OC’s work
