Lab Alley is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven QA Specialist to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality in alignment with our ISO 9001 standards. You will play a critical role in identifying defects, maintaining high operational standards, and driving continuous improvement across shipping, receiving, and production workflows. Essential Responsibilities
- Record and report NC, CAPA and SCAR.
- Complete vendor qualification form.
- Generate product manuals or update as required.
- Maintain up to date records of supplier's certification such as Kosher, Halal and Organic.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
- Collect and evaluate production samples to verify product integrity and accuracy.
- Monitor production quality, identify nonconformance trends, and analyze root causes to recommend improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of test results, defects, corrective actions, and other key quality metrics.
- Draft, implement, and maintain QA/QC protocols, policies, SOPs, manuals, and documentation to support consistent quality practices.
- Provide training and ongoing support to staff regarding quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Cease production when serious product defects or risks are identified, ensuring product safety and compliance.
- Ensure all QA activities align with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Document findings, prepare detailed quality reports, and present actionable insights to management.
- 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or warehouse operations role
- Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology including familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and internal auditing practices
- Experience with research data collection and analysis techniques
- Analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong proactive communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and document process gaps
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a warehouse setting
- Able to lift and move boxes up to 50lbs as needed
