LABBB Collaborative provides educational programming and support services for over 300 special needs students from over 65 districts. LABBB serves students ages 3 to 22 years old with a variety of special needs including students on the autism spectrum, students with multi-handicaps, pervasive development disorders, developmental delays, language deficits and social/emotional challenges. The LABBB community has a vision of skill-based instruction that considers the whole student from early childhood to adult living. About the role:

LABBB is hiring a Program Coordinator who provides administrative oversight for all phases of educational leadership for the classrooms and programs assigned to them including educational programming, scheduling, administration, budgetary planning, discipline, and other support services.

Job Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, Special Education or a related field.

Massachusetts DESE Certification as Administrator of Special Education

Minimum of three years of school, district or collaborative leadership experience.

Minimum of seven years of experience as a special education teacher or related service provider.

Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating classroom teachers and instructional leaders.

Experience with public relations and managing student and staff information systems.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient using technology such as MS Office, Google Apps, Student Information Systems, etc.

Ability to work collaboratively to address concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional, courteous manner.

Working 210 days- following LABBB School Calendar. The position will require travel between program locations

Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees educators in the schools, providing periodic observations and evaluations that are timely and constructive and completed based on the timetables set by school district.

Offers training and guidance as necessary based on evaluations of professional staff.

Participates in hiring all faculty and staff for the school.

Enforces disciplinary policies and procedures related to staff and students.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensures a productive learning environment through continual collaboration with teachers, students and parents.

Facilitates opportunities to connect with students by being present and available during arrival and dismissal, by appearing at classroom and organization events and by meeting with staff and parents.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, assigns all teachers and classroom aides to classroom assignments. Ensure environmental quality and safety standards pertaining to physical classroom/building space.

Participates in parent meetings and conferences and acts as an intermediary between parents, teachers, and students to deal with a variety of needs or issues.

Coordinates staff development for faculty and staff, provides instruction if needed, facilities staff meetings.

Facilitates the process of ordering supplies and equipment.

Interacts with various stakeholders to foster positive relationship between school and community.

Acts as liaison between the district and the LABBB’s central office administrators; communicates needs and information to both sides.

Collaboratives with other principals, coordinators, and other educators to choose and develop curriculum and resources that align with local, state and national standards.

Acts as the Meeting Chairperson in IEP meetings for students in programs under his/her direct supervision.

Supports the Program Director and Referral Coordinator in the comprehensive intake process for all new student referrals.

Conducts case conferences, student progress meetings, and professional consults as needed.

Assist the Program Director in administrative duties, including but not limited to transportation lists, calendars, parent meetings, and interaction with host school administration.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, collaborate with Department Heads and educators to provide high-quality curriculum in all programs.

Develop new staff orientation programs, including but not limited to meeting supervisors and co-workers, introduction to students and classes, touring facilities, and providing materials (program description and policies).

Salary Range: $117,975 to $140,869, commensurate with experience and education. *2025-2026 Salary range is for 210 days; following LABBB School Calendar.

Physical Demands:

Physically capable of carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom including (but not limited to): consistently attending, working and standing for long periods of time, transferring students into and out of various equipment, lifting up to 50 pounds, working with students on the floor, moving quickly when needed in response to student behavior, and participating in physical interventions if necessary to keep the student or others in the environment safe.

Pay: $117,975.00 - $140,869.00 per year
