About the role: LABBB is hiring a GO Program Manager for our DDS funded community-based adult service program. This program has a home base in Lexington and spends much of the week engaging in community-based learning activities during the week. The Program Manager will work collaboratively with a community developer to create a robust weekly schedule that allows individuals to develop the skills they need for employment. The Program Manager will supervise direct service staff, participate in some weekly activities with the people we serve, and work with the Program Director to ensure compliance with all DDS regulations and quality indicators.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or higher required in Vocational/Rehabilitation, Special Education or a related field.
- Valid MA driver’s license, eligible for MA 7D License, along with acceptable driving record.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in human services related field, special education experience highly desirable
- Ability to work with people with a variety of disabilities
- Ability to create and oversee a robust schedule of activities and fulfill the regulatory requirements of running a DDS CBDS (Community Based Day Support) program
- Excellent verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of software applications such as electronic reporting systems (ex. EIMS), Microsoft Office, and Google Apps, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively to address concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional, courteous manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with arrival and departure of individuals
- Design and implement appropriate data driven, culturally responsive instruction
- Develop and implement individual support plans and any plans in place to support the whole person in participating in program activities.
- Maintain a culturally diverse, purposeful, respectful, and stimulating learning environment that is organized and positive in nature and geared towards individual needs and interests.
- Create and implement a daily schedule and communicate any concerns or required changes to the Program Director
- Prepare instructional materials
- Support individuals’ development of independence, social skills, language, independent living and working skills, and appropriate behavior
- Support individuals’ personal care needs which may include activities of daily living (ADL’s) such as communication, toileting, feeding, transferring, self-care, and assistance with mobility including lifting.
- Facilitate meaningful inclusion for individuals into community settings
- Collect and analyze data and provide information to members of the individual’s team
- Recommend and utilize adaptive equipment, accommodations or modifications for individuals to best access activities. •Communicate all significant occurrences/incidents to the Program Director in a respectful and timely manner and enter incidents into the HCSIS system according to regulations
- Supervise direct service providers
- Facilitate Human Rights Committee meetings at least quarterly
- Maintain an open, honest, and respectful relationship with others involved with the individual’s success.
- Uphold LABBB’s mission and core values as well as adhere to laws, policies, procedures, and ethical standards of the field and contribute to a positive and safe program culture
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the Program Director or other appropriate administrator.
Terms of Employment & Salary Range: This is a full year, 12-month position and the position will require travel, including between program locations and job sites. The salary range is $60,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience and education.
