About Us & the Role: LABBB Collaborative provides educational programming and support services for over 300 special needs students from over 65 districts. LABBB serves students ages 3 to 22 years old with a variety of special needs including students on the autism spectrum, students with multi-handicaps, pervasive development disorders, developmental delays, language deficits and social/emotional challenges. The Speech and Language Pathologist works directly under the supervision of the Department Head and Program Coordinator and acts as a member of a student’s multidisciplinary team.
Job Requirements: •Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with certification from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA); strong Clinical Fellows welcome to apply. •Massachusetts State License and Department of Education certification •Strong background in the use of assistive technology, including augmentative and alternative communication. •Willingness and experience working with students with social emotional needs who potentially present with challenging behaviors preferred. •Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive between locations during the workday.
Responsibilities: •Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language, including social skills, and needs for augmentative or alternative communication supports. •Develop and implement speech and language treatment goals through direct and indirect services in addition to consultation with families and school teams. •Collaborate with members of multidisciplinary teams including teachers, BCBA, OT, PT, and Vision providers and provide consultation or training to the staff and caregivers as needed or requested to support skill development and generalization. •Create necessary materials and supports, including programming for augmentative and alternative communication systems, to support a variety of communication needs for the classroom and community settings. •Complete regular documentation including data collection, progress notes, individualized education plans, and Medicaid billing as requested Attend IEP, progress, and re-evaluation meetings for students on the caseload in addition to other team meetings upon request.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7 hour work day (times vary depending on caseload and school location)
Salary Range: $68,298 to $129,901, commensurate with experience and education. *2025-2026 Salary range is for school year and includes compensation for required 4-week summer program.
