About the Role
As a Patient Service Center (PSC) Site Coordinator at Labcorp, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing activities at Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations at Patient Service Centers
- Work closely with PSC staff, management, and laboratory staff to ensure smooth operations
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures under minimal supervision
- Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
- Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
- Address customer service issues in a prompt and respectful manner
- Promote teamwork, cohesiveness, and effective communication among coworkers
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
- Travel to additional sites when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
- Prior experience in a leadership position is a plus
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities, and techniques
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
