We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team at Labcorp. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting accurate laboratory specimens for testing and providing exceptional patient care.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. You will also collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and other specialized tests, as well as perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
* Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and other specialized tests
* Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
* Process billing information and collect payments when required
* Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
* Maintain patient and specimen information logs
* Provide superior customer service to all patients
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
* Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
* Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently or in a team environment
