Labcorp is seeking a Full Time Clinical Lab Scientist to join its team in San Leandro, CA! In this role, you will be working in a STAT laboratory environment dedicated to providing patients with timely but quality results. You will work with your fellow scientists along with the processor team. This is a great opportunity to join a first-class laboratory and grow in a career in the diagnostics field! Entry-level licensed CLS welcomed! This position will provide testing in the following areas: chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and coagulation.
**Pay Range: $54.00 - $64.00 per hour
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:30am - 8:00pm

Job Responsibilities
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
- Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related science
- CA CLS license is required (Generalist or Specialist for designated department)
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
- High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
