Job Description:
A clinical laboratory professional seeking leadership opportunity will excel in this role. Detail oriented and process focused, you will enjoy leading others and be part of our mission to improve health and lives.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

- Supervise Blood Bank department operations
- Ensure accurate laboratory tests and timely results
- Directly supervise and mentor laboratory personnel
- Monitor daily workflow and schedule assay coverage
- Responsible for ensuring all shifts are properly staffed
- Research and resolve production errors
- Engage in continuous process improvements
- Maintain Quality Control records and documents
- Evaluate new process improvements
- Meet with direct reports for coaching and feedback
- Perform bench work and maintain proficiency
- Ensure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulations
- Administer and manage policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technologist/Technician in Blood Bank
- Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred
- ASCP and/or AMT Certifications are a plus
- Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
- Understanding of laboratory operations and policies
- Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable making decisions in a changing environment
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
