Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Phlebotomist to join our team at Labcorp. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to gain a vast amount of experience working with various patients, team members, and clinics/locations.
About the Role
- You will be responsible for performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- You will collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- You will perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
- You will process billing information and collect payments when required.
- You will prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- You will maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- You will provide superior customer service to all patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required.
- You must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- You must have a proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- You must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You must be able to work independently or in a team environment.
- You must be comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- You must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record if applicable.
