Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Labcorp. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and delivering them to our laboratories for analysis. You will also interact with patients and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Deliver blood samples to the laboratory for analysis
- Interact with patients and provide excellent customer service
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency preferred
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist highly preferred
- Pediatric - Geriatric patient experience highly preferred
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
About the Role
This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 5pm and Friday from 8:30am to 1pm. Occasional overtime may be required. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
