As a Laboratory Phlebotomy Specialist at Labcorp, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes
- Processing billing information and collecting payments when required
- Preparing collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintaining patient and specimen information logs
- Providing superior customer service to all patients
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist
- A proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- The ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- The ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
