Job Description:
As a Float Phlebotomist at Labcorp, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. This unique role allows you to develop your skills, gain experience, and set yourself up for opportunities and continuous growth within the organization.
You will be responsible for performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and other purposes, and processing billing information and collecting payments when required.
In addition, you will prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis, maintain patient and specimen information logs, provide superior customer service to all patients, and perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
You may also be required to travel to additional sites when needed.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
One year of previous experience as a phlebotomist is required.
You must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
You must be at least 21 years old.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service is essential.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment is necessary.
You should be comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record are required if applicable.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed is essential.
You must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
