We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team in either a Patient Service Center or Client office setting. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and being the face of our company.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in providing outstanding customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will also have flexibility to work overtime as needed and be comfortable working under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency preferred
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist preferred
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
