We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Labcorp.
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary techniques. You will also be responsible for processing billing information, preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining accurate patient and specimen information logs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in phlebotomy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position requires a valid driver's license and good driving record, as well as flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Qualifications
For this position, we require a High School Diploma or equivalent, Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency, and at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with pediatrics and geriatrics, a proven track record in providing exceptional customer service, and strong communication skills.
