Specimen Collection Specialist

As a phlebotomist on our team, you will play a critical role in helping us deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques, performing data entry of patient information, processing billing information, and maintaining patient and specimen information logs.

Job Summary:

• Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with registration and check-in processes
• Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and management
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry developments

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (preferred)
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record (if applicable)
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
