What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic artist position at Label-Aid Systems?
Label-Aid Systems, an ISO 9001 : 2015 certified company, established in 1976, is a group of highly motivated, trained, and skilled individuals who have grown into a leading manufacturer of labels, decals, and graphic overlays.
We want to hire a production graphic artist , which is a full-time position, immediately. This is a day time position, and the individual we hire can work either 7am-3 : 30pm, or 8am-4 : 30pm.
Pay is commensurate with experience and negotiable.
Please note this is not a graphic design, marketing, or web design position. Prior experience in the label printing industry is desired.
2 years in flexography extremely preferred. Any experience with social media could lead to additional responsibilities as well.
This is an in office position at our printing plant located in Madison, Alabama near Huntsville, Alabama.
You must be fully versed in Adobe Creative Suite. In particular you must have a great working knowledge of Mac based Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as Microsoft Excel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
- Preparing jobs for production to specifications including; recreating artwork from samples, typesetting, light image editing, process and spot color separations, placing artwork in die-lines, trapping, color management, etc.
- Application of traps, overprints, pullbacks, and positive or reverse line requirements, etc.
- Color correct and adjust files to match supplied color targets.
- Manage multiple jobs in various production stages.
- Create and distribute electronic proofs & hard color proofs.
- Must be detail oriented, well organized, and take pride in delivering quality work.
