Label Aid is an innovative flexographic and digital printing company. We produce labels, tags, and tape for many different end use applications. Our core markets include: food, beverage, industrial, automotive, home and garden, horticulture, personal care and nutraceutical.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Flexographic Press Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, setup, and maintenance of flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. As a Flexographic Press Operator, you will ensure that all printing projects meet customer specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
Responsibilities: Set up and operate flexographic printing presses according to production schedules and customer requirements.
· Completes orders in accordance with the Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used.
· Responsible for completing all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks. Completes all press-side quality checks.
· Operates press to produce product in accordance to customer specifications while maintain quality, waste, and press efficiency.
· Maintains consistent quality during the production run. Critical quality checks includes: copy, color, and registration, and ink adhesion. Ensure conformance to all other quality checks.
· Cleans plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricates press as needed.
· Maintains a clean and safe work environment and area by completing daily housekeeping assignments.
· Work closely with other production team members, supervisors, and quality control staff to meet production goals.
· Communicate any issues or delays to supervisors promptly.
· Assist in training and mentoring if cross training is needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Experience as a Flexographic Press Operator or in a similar printing role is preferred.
- Experience with various flexographic printing technologies and substrates is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of flexographic printing press operations and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules.
- Familiarity with ink and substrate properties, color matching, and registration techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, basic math, computer, proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to stand 8-10 hours per day.
