What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director SUD/Mental Health/Treatment Center position at LABH?
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of and ability to apply facility philosophy,
principles and technologies whilst maintaining and improving the following
essential functions listed in the section below.
- Minimum Master’s level education with appropriate current state license to provide clinical therapy and/or AOD recovery services.
- California license (MFT, LCSW or licensed Psychologist) for minimum of 3 years.
- At least 5 years of experience working in the field of AOD or related mental health services.
- At least 2 years previous experience supervising a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- At least 2 years working experience with ASAM criteria.
- Must have experience and thorough knowledge of disease of addiction and psychiatric disorders and illnesses.
DAILY DUTIES:
- Responsible to CEO
- Supervise all client care provided by therapists.
- Develop, implement, and supervise all clinicians regarding appropriateness of curriculum for group therapies.
- Intervene and assist clinically with clients as needed (i.e., crisis intervention, ATA risk, special needs, etc.).
- Responsible for overseeing the timely completion of the psychosocial assessments, clinical admission notes and master treatment plans for all new
- admissions.
- Assist therapist as needed, with services for dual diagnosis clients.
- Responsible for ensuring the delivery of appropriate services for dual
diagnosis clients.
- Oversee staff therapist facilitating groups, assessments, communication with families, individual sessions, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Participate in the quality assurance and utilization review activities of the facility.
- Participate in weekly treatment planning meetings with Program Director, Therapist, and Counselors.
- Monitor documentation policies through electronic medical records.
- Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences including LGBTQ, racial, ethnic, socio-economic, disabilities.
- Supervises pre-certified interns accruing licensure hours.
- Responsible for ensuring that all treatment services are provided in an ethical and legal manner.POSITION COMPETENCY:
