Labor Finders of Austell is looking for an experienced excavator worker. You will be using heavy equipment to assist in construction work, surface mining or quarrying activities, and handling large materials. As well as helping to construct or maintain roads, bridges, airports, tunnels, and buildings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Excavator operators or heavy equipment operators should expect to perform many different duties, which can include :
- Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials during construction.
- Operate heavy equipment to assist in the maintenance and repair of roadways.
- Excavate rock, ore, or other materials from open-pit mines, strip mines, quarries, or construction pits.
- Read and interpret blueprints or designs to understand the requirements of the job.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refuel equipment.
Skills and qualifications
A successful excavator operator or heavy equipment operator will have the following skills and qualifications :
RequirementsA successful candidate for an excavator operator or heavy equipment operator position should have experience working with excavators or heavy equipment. They also need experience working on construction sites, mines, logging facilities or cargo bays. Expertise in maintaining heavy machinery or excavators is a must, as well as experience interpreting drawings, blueprints or designs for a project.
