Labor Finders is seeking a Grounds and Cleaning Staff member to join our team. As a key member of our grounds and cleaning crew, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of various locations. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned locations on a daily basis.
- Remove trash, leaves, cigarette butts, paper, bottles, and miscellaneous items.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, and refill cigarette butt containers.
- Log work done at each location.
- Clean, organize, and maintain areas like restrooms, offices, closets, corridors, guest areas, and stairwells.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and carpets within designated areas.
- Operate snow blowers, floor buffers, carpet cleaning equipment, and other small machines.
- Dust, polish, and clean furniture and accessories.
- Wash windows and mirrors, remove stains or marks.
- Check for damages, notify managers of needed repairs, and make minor repairs.
- Move or lift heavy supplies and equipment.
- Work in shifts, possibly evening hours.
Requirements
- Ability to work in poor weather (rain, sleet, hail, etc.).
- Valid driver's license with a clean 3-year driving record.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to pass drug test, physical, and insurance clearance.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on frequent basis.
- Ability to stand, squat, sit, and walk interchangeably for long periods.
- Ability to push carts and/or lift equipment, performing various physical movements with required mobility for tasks requiring bending, reaching, or standing for up to eight hours daily.
- Ability to work in variable conditions like noise, odors, dust or temperature, with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, demonstrate initiative, and work independently.
- Prior related work experience is a bonus, but no experience required.
