Santa Maria Labor Finders is currently hiring a highly motivated individual for the Grounds Maintenance Worker position for a local Santa Maria company. This position is responsible for performing a variety of grounds maintenance tasks including digging, carrying materials, irrigation, drainage, landscape, and equipment operation.
Your Day
Essential Functions - Digs and back fills holes for plants, trees, and shrubs. - Performs handwork as necessary using a pick, shovel, rake, or other hand tools. - Waters trees using a hose. - Cleans drains, and tree wells. - Operates powered equipment (chainsaw and woodchipper) - Carries materials (e.g., sod, rocks, and plants) - Maintains tools and equipment to ensure safety. - Performs general clean up at the work site. - Completes basic landscape maintenance activities. - Provides excellent service in a courteous and efficient manner. - Operate sit-down mowers and other landscaping equipment
Your Gain
17.00 to $19.00 an hour. Depending on experience
Your Experience
- Must be reliable and have your own transportation. - Minimum of 2 years' current experience preferred but not necessary. - Must be able to present yourself in a clean and professional manner. - Must have sit-down mower experience
