What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control/Rework Inspector position at Labor Finders?
Your Mission:
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures as required
• Understand the Job Safety Analysis and Energy Safe Procedures for your position and machine
• Be able to thoroughly and accurately review tubed bags checking against specifications as listed on the Plant Order form
• Be able to operate slide angle machines and perform required specific testing for regular and specialty production orders
•Be able to accurately complete forms documenting test results as well as other record keeping information as required
• Be able to reclaim tubes or bags manually repair defective product
• Inspectors should be able to perform the relief and fill in duties for General Labor employees as needed
• Must possess basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions
Your Profile:
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Work schedules are normally 8 or 12 hours
• May be scheduled for rotating days off
• Must be able to work any scheduled times, including overnight and weekend shifts
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including extra hours on short notice
• Standing for extended periods
• Must be able to complete assigned task during shift and meet reasonable expectations • Awkward and/or repetitive movements
• Climbing ladders and/or stairways
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. frequently for up to 12 hours
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to steel toe shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnet and beard net, if applicable)
• Ability to use hand truck, drum dolly, and electric pallet jack as needed
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts
