What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Palletizer position at Labor Finders?
Your Mission:
• Operate pallet inverter, automatic palletizer safely.
Check inventory, locations, WIP and production schedule to accurately retrieve material from the job packet pick lists.
• Perform housekeeping duties in work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up, and disposing of trash
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management
• Safely move material to and from storage, machines and finished goods areas
• Communicate non-compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor
• Ability to read and understand material labels and work orders
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
Your Profile:
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Work schedules are normally 8 or 12 hours
• May be scheduled for rotating days off
• Must be able to work any scheduled times, including overnight and weekend shifts
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including extra hours on short notice
• Standing for extended periods
• Must be able to complete assigned task during shift and meet reasonable expectations • Awkward and/or repetitive movements
• Climbing ladders and/or stairways
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. frequently for up to 12 hours
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to steel toe shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnet and beard net, if applicable)
• Ability to use hand truck, drum dolly, and electric pallet jack as needed
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts
