Quality Technician

Job Title: Quality Technician - Metals Manufacturing

Location: Sterling Heights

Shift: Monday- Friday 5:00 am- 3:30 pm

Saturday 6:00 am- 12:30 pm 

Job Type: Full-time

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Quality Technician to join our team in metals manufacturing. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products by using GD&T, blueprints, gauges, and calipers. If you have experience in quality control and are detail-oriented, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities:

• Inspect metal parts and products using GD&T, blueprints, and precision measuring tools like gauges and calipers.
• Conduct first article inspections and ongoing quality checks during the manufacturing process.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure products meet required standards.
• Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Record and report any quality issues or deviations and work with the production team to resolve them.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for non-conformities.
• Assist in maintaining quality documentation and reports for compliance and traceability.
• Ensure all products meet customer and industry specifications.

Qualifications:

• Experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with the production team.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality control procedures is a plus.
