Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Application Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CNC programming, machining processes, and tooling selection, with the ability to optimize manufacturing workflows. This role requires a problem-solver who can support shop floor personnel, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Essential Job Functions :
- Develop CNC programs for CNC lathes, CNC mills, gear shaping, gear hobbing, and gear grinding based on area of expertise.
- Create work instructions for operators and setup personnel to ensure smooth production processes.
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for implementation in manufacturing.
- Provide input for the selection of capital equipment purchases.
- Assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and product flow.
- Support shop floor personnel in troubleshooting process and quality issues related to part manufacturing.
- Continuously review and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Select and recommend appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining processes.
- Evaluate and refine existing tools and fixtures to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Train employees as needed to enhance technical skills and operational effectiveness.
- Organize daily activities effectively with minimal supervision .
- Provide detailed technical information to support the quoting process .
- Assist in the development and manufacturing of prototype machined components .
- Maintain the ability to work under pressure and handle heavy workloads efficiently.
- Prioritize quality as the most critical aspect of all tasks.
- Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, setup personnel, and operators to maintain a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
