The Parts Counter Representative is responsible for assisting customers, in identifying, locating, and purchasing the appropriate parts for repairs and maintenance. This role requires excellent customer service skills, product knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure smooth parts operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet and assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with parts inquiries and orders.
- Identify and locate the correct parts using catalogs, databases, and inventory management systems.
- Process customer and technician parts requests, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Provide pricing, availability, and alternative options when necessary.
- Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts shipments.
- Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims per company policies.
- Work closely with the service and sales departments to ensure parts needs are met.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining a clean and efficient parts counter and storage area.
- Upsell and recommend additional parts or accessories based on customer needs.
- Adhere to safety procedures and company policies at all times.
