What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Manager position at Labor Solutions, LLC?
Job Summary:
Directs the sanitation team to ensure completion of daily housekeeping and sanitation of the facility. Works with department managers to coordinate sanitation needs. Works directly with QA/QC to ensure preop inspections and GMP are followed. The Sanitation Manager will be responsible for approximately 48 employees across all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd). The Sanitation Manager must be available to work any shift, as it requires a rotating schedule to manage all shifts.
Duties:
1. Is familiar with executing the 7steps of sanitation for a wet cleaning process.
2. Oversees 3 areas within the sanitation department: Housekeeping, Dishwashing and Sanitors.
3. Responsible for ensuring that each department is able to meet the specified tasks within the expected time frame.
4. Responsible for scheduling the leads and the sanitation workers to provide optimal plant coverage as well as review employee’s hours.
5. Backs up workers responsible for implementation of sanitation program and compliance.
6. Ensures that regular housekeeping activities are competed in all areas of facility.
7. Ensures sanitation of the food preparation and food assembly rooms.
8. Leads and directs the sanitation workers to achieve set sanitation goals.
9. Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation and quality standards.
10. Trains workers on sanitation equipment and procedures and chemicals.
11. Manages the inventory and purchasing of sanitation chemicals, employee PPE and basic sanitation tools.
12. Position is expected to promote food safety and quality culture and being engaged in its performance.
Requirements:
· Associates degree or equivalent sanitation experience.
· Safety and sanitation certifications.
· Spends over 60% of the time on the floor supervising the team and working directly on specific projects for continuous improvement of the department with main focus during third shift.
Experience:
· 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience
· 3-5 years of food prep, production or sanitation experience
· Knowledge of sanitation in a prepared food or clinical environment preferred
Expectations:
· Ability to work with chemicals.
· Ability to stand 8-10 hours per day and perform physical work in a cold or hot, wet room.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is a plus.
· Ability to utilize a computer, Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook.

Salary : $85,000 - $98,000
